Marilyn and Karen6th Annual Holistic Living Expo

The Sixth Annual Holistic Living Expo on Saturday, March 27, 2009, from 10 AM to 5 PM promises something for everyone.  Demonstrations by holistic practitioners, product samplings, healthy living and energy saving solutions, children’s activities, great food, music, and door prizes are just a sampling of what to expect at this year’s Expo. The Expo, taking place at the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, 2740 Old York Road, Jamison, PA, celebrates and promotes holistic and renewable living with over 75 holistic and green-minded vendors showcased at the day-long event.

The emphasis for this year’s Holistic Living Expo is on “Being Healthy Inside and Outside.”  Seven guest speakers will present healthy and affordable ideas and solutions for people, their pets, and their home environments.

Lynn Doyle , multi award-winning journalist, nine-time Emmy recipient, and host and executive producer for Comcast Network’s Emmy Award-winning “It’s Your Call with Lynn Doyle," will be interviewing Wendy Warner, M.D., of Medicine in Balance and Jim Quigley of Healthy Spaces.  The focus of the interview will be “Elements of a Healthy Body – Inside and Out.”  Dr. Warner, owner and founder of Medicine in Balance, a comprehensive holistic health care center in Langhorne, is certified in both OB/GYN and holistic medicine.  Jim Quigley is the owner Healthy Spaces, a Newtown based consulting firm that tests homes and working places for environmental problems.

Internationally recognized homeopathic veterinarian, Dr. Christina Chambreau, will talk about “Healthy Animals and Healthy People.”  The Possibility Coaches, Jon Satin and Chris Pattay, will offer dynamic tools and techniques to help reach one’s goals and dreams and Robert Butera, M.Div., Ph.D. will discuss his new book, The Pure Heart of Yoga, 10 Essential Steps to Transformation.

The goal of the Holistic Living Expo is to educate the general public about the advantages of incorporating holistic therapies and treatments and renewable products and services into one’s lifestyle and healing.  The practitioner and product list includes but is not limited to shiatsu, chiropractic, nutritional counseling, reflexology, yoga, essential oils, meditation, massage, energy therapy, naturopathy, sustainable living and healthy home advisors, nutritional supplements, and organic foods and products.  The free children’s activities, which run from 10 AM to 4 PM, include making bath salts and kid-favorite singer Eco-man.  Belly dance, a fun form of creative and physical fitness, will also be demonstrated.

The Holistic Living Expo is headed up by local business owners, Karen McGlynn, D.C. and Marilyn Bullock.  Dr. McGlynn, of McGlynn Chiropractic, Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and of The Healing Walks Foundation, founded the expo six years ago to help educate the community about holistic therapies and products.  She has been promoting healthy eating and living for herself, her family and friends, and her patients for many years.

Ms. Bullock, of SearchHolistic.com, LLC,.has been interested in holistic therapies since being diagnosed with and subsequent recovery from breast cancer in 2000. In 2009 she partnered with Dr. Catalina Smith, to develop the website www.SearchHolistic.com, a holistic social network and informational website for people, pets, products, and practitioners.

The Holistic Living Expo is partially sponsored by Yoga Living Magazine, TommysMom.com, The International School of Shiatsu, and Lori Schlosser, Ph.D, Certified Rubenfeld Synergist.  For additional Expo details, go to www.HolisticLivingExpo.org or call 215-491-7533.
