2nd Annual Second Skin Fashion Show

New Hope Arts has scheduled its 2nd Annual Second Skin: Style and Textile Show for Saturday, September 11, 2010 through Saturday, October 9, 2010, following a highly successful debut last year.

Bucks County’s premier style and textiles show will kick-off with an Artists Reception on Saturday, September 11, 2010, and will formally close with a Fashion Show on Saturday, October 9, 2010. A variety of fabric style, design and art exhibits will be on display for viewing throughout the exhibit. This year’s Fashion Show will take on an international flavor featuring fashion designers and artists from The Netherlands, Spain, and Australia, as well as nationally recognized designers from Arizona, California, and Oregon, and home grown fashion designers and artists from the greater Philadelphia area.

Prominent fashion designers and artists have committed to participate in the show, including:

• Chrissy Leasher, Second Skin Show Chairperson and lead show organizer. Designer of Maintenance, an eclectic clothing line consisting of new and recycled clothing.
• Nicole Rae Styer, Philadelphia, PA, fashion designer with a unique spin on applying paint, lace and glitter to apparel.
• Lesley Haas, Philadelphia, PA, utilizes a medium of handmade paper, muslin and string.
• Jude Lally, Asheville, NC, demonstrates a creative flare in using fibers in spirituality weaving.
• Eileen Doughty, Vienna, VA, develops designs exploring what makes textile art so unique.
