Second Saturday New Hope
   The New Hope business community invites you to come out each month for a special evening of fun, food and arts. Celebrated from 6 to 9 PM on the Second Saturday of the month, many of the businesses in town offer special events. Everything from art exhibitions and demonstrations to receptions can be found in our downtown.

NH&I: The North Pole Express
   Every year, the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad hosts its annual North Pole Express trains, where kids climb aboard the train, and com Every year, the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad hosts its annual North Pole Express trains, where kids climb aboard the train, and come along with the NH&I as they pick up Santa Clause! Because of the long train, not only is engine #40 being used, but diesel engine #7087 gets quite a workout of her own. Also in the video, famous engineer Ross Rowland is behind the throttle of #40, and we'll see him doing what he does best: operating a steam locomotive!

On this beautiful fall day, we will ride aboard the steam-powered Lahaska train, but also aboard the diesel-powered Warminster train!    More than 90 kids in grades from 1st through 6th participate in programs like, art park, saving sludge city and moving at rocket speed.
Delaware River Shad Fest
   The Lambertville Shad Fest is one of a couple that take place every year when Shad move up river from the ocean to spawn. This is footage from the 2008 haul. Shad were nearly fished to extinction many years ago by commercial fisheries that doted the Delaware. This group is the last remaining fishery in NJ that has a commercial fishing license.

   New Hope celebrated the 5th annual Gay Pride Weekend with a parade led by Gov. Ed Rendell down Ferry Street and along South Main Street.

The North Pole Express
   Sunday December 9, New Hope PA
NH&I #40 - December 2007
   #40 hauls the "North Pole Express" through dead and dull scenery of early winter in Bucks County. The train is being assisted by C30-7 #7087 in order to keep on-schedule during the busy and hectic, and often sold out Christmas season trains. Side note: #40's whistle in this video is a Southern Pacific 6-chime.

   Change? What sort of change? Why... the changing of the whistle! #40 is now wearing her 'Crosby 3-chime' whistle, and boy oh boy does it sound better than ever! So let's climb aboard one of the New Hope & Ivyland's regularly scheduled passenger trains, and take a ride through the beautiful countryside of Bucks County, PA. We'll get quite a few views of this train, as we watch trackside, from onboard, and even in the cab, as the fireman throws a few shovelful's of coal into the firebox. Trains Out of Commision, New Hope, PA
   September 2nd 2007. Went for a walk along the Delaware Canal on the Pennsylvania side. Just before getting to New Hope, I noticed there were some out of commission trains on the opposite side of the canal. I walked to the nearest bridge to cross to the other side and this is what I filmed! I (New) Hope you enjoy it :)

Winter Flurries on the NH&I
   It's still winter-time, not quite spring yet! On March 4th, 2007, whilst the 2-8-0 steam engine #40 is down for it's annual inspection and repairs, diesel #7087 takes on the role for #40. We were treated to some unexpected snowwy scenes as it happened to start flurrying a light dusting of snow.
