NH&I #40 - December 2007
|
| |
#40 hauls the "North Pole Express" through dead and dull scenery of early winter in Bucks County. The train is being assisted by C30-7 #7087 in order to keep on-schedule during the busy and hectic, and often sold out Christmas season trains.
Side note: #40's whistle in this video is a Southern Pacific 6-chime. |

NH&I: Change is in the Air…
|

Change? What sort of change? Why... the changing of the whistle! #40 is now wearing her 'Crosby 3-chime' whistle, and boy oh boy does it sound better than ever! So let's climb aboard one of the New Hope & Ivyland's regularly scheduled passenger trains, and take a ride through the beautiful countryside of Bucks County, PA. We'll get quite a few views of this train, as we watch trackside, from onboard, and even in the cab, as the fireman throws a few shovelful's of coal into the firebox. So sit back, relax, and enjoy another Penn Rail Videos production. For more info on the NH&I, visit thier website @ www.newhoperailroad.com |

It's still winter-time, not quite spring yet! On March 4th, 2007, whilst the 2-8-0 steam engine #40 is down for it's annual inspection and repairs, diesel #7087 takes on the role for #40. We were treated to some unexpected snowwy scenes as it happened to start flurrying a light dusting of snow. |
